Distance Laser Measuring Module Time Of Flight Tof VL53L0X WAVGAT
The VL53L0 utilizes ST’s FlightSense technology to accurately measure the time it takes for pulses from infrared laser light to reach the nearest object and be returned to a detector, making it a tiny stand-alone lidar system.
Perfect for detecting the movement of a hand, a robot impact on a wall or any other distance measure. This sensor can detect how long the light takes to bounce off the surface in front of it so you can measure a distance from 30mm to 1.2m with an accuracy of 5%
Unlike ultrasonic sensors, the detection cone is very narrow and unlike the infra-red sensor, it does not measure a quantity of reflected light, so it is more accurate.
The sensor can report distances up to 2m with a resolution of 1mm, but its effective range and accuracy (noise) strongly depend on the ambient conditions and the characteristics of the target, such as reflectance and size, as well as then the sensor configuration.
The VL53L0X is an excellent integrated circuit, but its small lead-free LGA package makes it difficult to use, it runs at a recommended voltage of 2.8 V, this module solves this problem by operating in 3.3 V or 5 V which allows him to communicate with different development boards, Arduino board and compatible.
